Now that Davis will officially be gone...

Why not open who the new coach will be up for speculation?

I have 3 guys who I think can get the job done.

  1. John Beilein, head coach West Virginia. He has worked some real magic over there. He has turned a Big East bottom feeder to an annual Sweet Sixteen team.
  2. Karl Hobbs, head coach George Washington. He was an asst. coach under Calhoun at UConn for a number of years and helped cultivate Rip Hamilton and Ray Allen, 2 NBA All-Stars.
  3. Tom Crean, head coach Marquette. He led Marquette to the Final Four last year and has coached Dwayne Wade. Before that, he was an asst. under Izzo at MSU. Helped cultivate Mateen Cleaves and Sweet Moe Pete.
Those are my candidates. Who else would you add?

Vaden Quote After UConn Game

"I feel like we could have played harder than what we did,'' Vaden
said. "We cut the lead down and we made it a game. But we could have
fought harder and maybe got a win. We just didn't bear down in the
first half."

Ummm, what? WTF? Is he calling out his team? Man, I hope so. I hope he is calling out somebody in particular. Marco. Sorry to tell you this Marco, but if you want to make in the next level, you have to be able to run. No room for 6-8 (I'm pretty sure he is 6-7 or shorter) slow guys that can't jump and tire out after 4 minutes of play in the 2nd half.

Charlie Weis Signing Day Presser

I love this quote:

That's what gets you fired, playing guys just
because, "He's a senior, so I'm going to play him because he's a
senior." You got to play the guys that give you the best chance of
winning.

Hmmm, I wonder who that may apply to? Could it be the Molder of Men (Ty)?
